Muhammad Ali has passed away and with that the world loses the greatest sporting icon of the 20th century and a giant among men. The man who refused to serve in the Vietnam war and went to jail for dodging the draft, his title taken away from him and barred from boxing for 5 years. People told him he was finished but he came back to become the world champion. He faced racial discrimination growing up in Kentucky but he didn't let that stop him from becoming the champion of the world. He converted to Islam while boxing and he didn't reveal it to anyone until he won the world heavyweight championship because he feared that if it was revealed he would lose the right to fight against Sonny. He received death threats, he was asked to renounce his faith but he remained steadfast. He fought Parkinson's disease till the very end like the fighter he was. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

He is a shining example of what we should aspire to be we standing up for what we believe in. fighting for what we believe in and standing up for what is right.
Rest in peace, Muhammad Ali.
